The reigning two time World Champion Robert Harting, of Germany, won the competition with 65.21m. His team mate Daniel Jasinski threw 56.70m which was good enough to win the team competition with a score of 121.91m.
The weather in Tallinn was hard with +10°C and heavy rain during a warm-up and first two rounds.
This has made it extremely difficult to show good results. Once again Robert Harting was unbeatable. Gerd Kanter was the one who came closest to him, because this threw 62,76 m. Mart Israel has unfortunately only managed to throw 55.80 meters. Thus, Estonia was only 3rd in the team competition.
Second was the €œWorld Team€ Ehsan Hadadi 61.80m and Benn Harradine 59,32 m.
The reigning European champion Piotr Malachowski threw 57,39 m, which turned out not to be dangerous for Robert Harting. He became 4th with his compatriot Robert Urbanek 59.53 m
Zoltan Kovago, today fourth best thrower with 61,50 meters, but had no opportunity to ask the courts to fight, because his team mate Gerhard Mayer was unfortunately only 54.96 meters.
Roland Varga 60.43m and Martin Maric 52,96m achieved to be 6th. The Dutchmen, Erik Cadee 59,40m and Rutger Smith (no result), were previously very strong assessed but due to fouls of Rutger Smith they had no chance to interfere with the first three places.
The results of the competition has again shown that it is definitely not easy to throw with difficult conditions.
