The world of hammer throwing has recently received some bad news.
Russia’s world hammer No.1 Aleksey Zagornyi has withdrawn from the IAAF World Outdoor Championships from Daegu which starts next week due to a back injury. The 2009 world bronze medallist had a best this season of 81.73m from June, but had struggled to find top form in recent weeks.
His current PB is 83.43m, achieved in Adler, 10/02/2002.
Shown below is a table of his distances and other information regarding his personal performances
We hope the best for Aleksey Zagornyi so he can recover so he can be back to full health.
