Germany´s Till Wöschler takes the javelin Gold at the European U23 Championships. He threw his new personal best 84.38m. He registered his best throw in the first round, then 77.19m in the second and no throw in the third round. He skept his last three attemps.
Competition was about to be decided until Turkish Fatih Avan came really close in his fifth and sixth throw, both landed over 84 meters – 84.08m and 84.11m.
Dmitry Tarabin, a Russian talent with a great progression in the past couple of years was third with 83.18m.
