Liina Laasma, a young talented javelin thrower of Estonia, won the historical Gold at the European Junior Championships held in Tallinn.
She demonstrated her good concentrating abilities by being in the chaser role until the very end of the javelin competition, she played on the nerves of her homecrowd and launched a Golden throw in her final attempt which was recorded at 55.99m, which gave her a victory over Latvia´s favorite Lina Muze by just 16 centimeters.
Her victory made headlines in every Estonian newspaper and television. Video
