The reigning Olympic champion Gerd Kanter proved his unsuccess few days ago at the Diamond League meet in Stockholm was just a bad day. Today he grabbed Gold at the Estonian Championships held in Tallinn. His winning throw was recorded at 67.27m.
The second Estonian discus giant Märt Israel landed on Silver after two fouls in the first and second round. In the third round he performed a average 62.83m which was still assured advantage ahead of Aleksander Tammert who ended up with 60.25m.
Fourt was Priidu Niit, the fourth 60m thrower in Estonia this year, who heaved the discus to 59.22m in his final attempt. The fifth man in the Estonian´s season top list Martin Kupper fouled all his attempts and ended up with no result.
