Zoltan Kovago, the Hungarian Olympic silver medalist 2004, threw a massive 69.50m in Budapest, at the Budapest Grand Prix 2011.
It is also a new world lead, Robert Harting was the previous leader with 68.99m. Kovago´s lifetime best is 69.95m, his previous season´s best was 65.26m.
The competition was strong as the Lithuanian double Olympic and World champion Virgilijus Alekna threw 66.06m. Roland Varga (HUN) was third with his season´s best of 65.95m.
Alekna is fourth in the season´s top list with 67.88m, his personal best is 73.88m since 2000. Yesterday he won the Samsung Diamond League meet held in Stockholm. His winning result was 65.05m.
Fourt place went to Robert Urbanek of Poland who threw his new personal best 63.48m.
