Men´s Discus startlist for tomorrow´s BIGBANK Kuldliiga I stage. There are only 6 competitors, the most famous of them are obviously Gerd Kanter and the reigning African champion Omar El-Ghazaly. Kanter won the Samsung Diamond League meet held in Doha (67.49 m =SB) and El-Ghazaly competed in Cairo and threw 64.79 m after hard trainings.
Other throwers include young Estonian talents who compete with lighter implements- Artjom Nikitin, only 15 years old with a personal best of 61.87 m with 1.0 kg implement. Estonian youth record in this event is an outstanding 64.11 m since 2002, thrown by the former junior world record holder, former world youth record holder and double world junior champion in shot put and discus events Margus Hunt.
Ats Kiisa, another talented thrower will compete with 1.5 kg discus, with his seasons and lifetime best of 50.17 m he is a strong competitor in his age. Last year he managed to throw 59.94 m with 1.0 kg discus.
