Startlist includes the former world champion Tero Pitkamäki (FIN) who´s currently placed third in the world ranking this year. His season´s best is 85.33m. Audience can also keep their fingers crossed for 23 year old Petr Frydrych (CZE) who´s season´s best throw of 85.32m keeps him in the 5th position in the season´s ranking.
He is coached by a legendary javelin phenomen Jan Železný (CZE) who is the world record holder in the men´s javelin with still unbeatable 98.48m. Nobody has even got close to his best throw. By the way, the world record recently had its 15th birthday. Congratulations Jan Železný!
