The Tech sophomore Julian Wruck set personal and Big 12 meet records Sunday in winning the discus competition with a throw of 63.42. Carl Myerscough, who nearly a decade ago at Nebraska was a three-time NCAA champion shot putter, set the old record in 2004. Wruck´s previous lifetime best standed on 61.88 since 1st April.
It means a lot, really, he said. He was a phenomenal athlete. He was a legendary shot putter and discus thrower. Im glad to feel Im at his level in college. Its a big deal to feel the same sort of caliber.
